Update on Water Level Petition
Update:At the 2025 Annual Meeting, the electors of the Rock Koshkonong Lake District (RKLD) voted to amend the original petition to the Wisconsin DNR to request that the new summer maximum elevation be increased to 776.75’ MSL (instead of 776.55’).
Since the water is expected to drop to this level today (September 4, 2025) , we encourage you to share pictures and comments showing how this change impacts you. Your input will help the DNR better understand the effects of the proposed adjustment.
📌 At the 2024 Annual Meeting of the Electors, RKLD originally voted to petition the Wisconsin DNR to modify the water level order for the Indianford Dam, which affects Lake Koshkonong.
📅 A Public Informational Meeting will be held:
Saturday, September 6, 2025 – 9:00 a.m.
📍 Edgerton Performing Arts Center, 200 Elm High Drive, Edgerton
At this meeting, DNR staff will present the petition, their tentative decision, and accept public input. The public comment period will remain open for 10 days following the meeting.
