At the 2024 Annual Meeting of the Electors, the Rock Koshkonong Lake District (RKLD) voted to submit a petition to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) requesting a change to the water level order for the Indianford Dam, which directly influences water levels on Lake Koshkonong in Rock County.
The DNR has scheduled a Public Informational Meeting regarding this petition:

The purpose of the meeting is to provide information about the submitted petition, outline the DNR’s review process and tentative decision, and receive public input. Department of Natural Resources staff will guide the meeting and ensure all attendees have an opportunity to provide feedback and submit additional information for consideration.
A formal Notice of Pending Application / Notice of Public Information Meeting will be posted on the DNR’s website. The public comment period will begin the day the notice is published and will remain open for 10 days following the meeting date.
All interested residents, stakeholders, and lake users are encouraged to attend and participate in this important public process.
In accordance with the agreement between RKLD and the DNR, the public notice will:
- Be published as a Class 1 Notice in the Edgerton Reporter
- Be distributed via U.S. Mail or email to local governments, agencies, and organizations
