Bio for James Jelinek:
James (Jim) Jelinek has lived on Lake Koshkonong for over a decade, and owns property on both the Dane County and Jefferson County side of the lake.
Since moving to the community, he has supported Edgerton and the surrounding area with over twenty-five years of experience in public safety as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician and Firefighter for the Edgerton Fire Protection District, and more recently as a Sergeant for the Rock River Safety Patrol.
In addition to being an avid user of the river and lake as a boater and fisherman, he serves as the President of the Rock River/Koshkonong Water Rescue Association and he coordinates training and water safety initiatives for the Edgerton Fire Protection District.
In past roles he has developed/monitored budgets, scheduled and led personnel, initiated expense reduction initiatives, assisted in fund-development for new equipment and offering new services through grant requests and soliciting donations/increased payments, and solidify community and customer support.
Jim is dedicated to the community, and the preservation of this valuable resource.
